… totaling 16 credit hours. I had 16 last semester, and this semester will be 16 too. Perhaps this perfect number will be perfect for my academic lifestyle. As much as it would be bad ass to have, say, 18 or 21 credit hours, let’s be real: I think 16 is my comfortable, yet challenging amount of workload. Perhaps if I feel more motivated (or in this case, more invincible) I may attempt for more than 16 credit hours in the future. But for now, I admit I’m not kewl enough to take on more than 16, so meh.
More to come in a few days.

You’re a year older than me, right? So does that mean you are at the equivalent level as university level in the UK, since I go to university from September 08?
If so, you do LOADS! At university here you study a major in something and a minor in something else, but nothing more. Next year I’ll be doing a major in Spanish and a minor in one of 5 options I have chosen. But I will only be required to go to about 9 hours of lectures each week spread over 3 days… which is a lot less than you do.
I guess I feel quite fortunate there
Maybe so. Then again, I’m taking an above average amount of course hours. To be considered full-time at NMT, you need at least 12 credit hours per semester.
On average, people here take about 14-15 credit hours.
