I’m back home now, or rather, my former home to be politically correct. It’s still a home though, because mother and brother live there, and I still get the quirks of free food and hospitality. Besides, the rest of my gear-that-will-never-find-a-place-in-the-dorm is still here. I’ll be heading back to the school tomorrow morning.
The dorm room’s a mess. Not that much of a mess, but quite messy enough to say that it is messy, therefore it’s messy. Get my logic? Then again, we’re guys… we live to be messy, right? So it must be all good and alright.
It’s just big enough for the two of us, and by my standards, it’s crap-sized. I think I mentioned this before, but I thought I’d clarify it through astute repetition. It’s small, but livable, for now. Like I said before, as soon as those 2008-2009 residential forms become available, we’ll bust through that door and say “gimme my apartment now, damn it!”
After bringing the three things I needed to bring, I have come to the epiphany that I need more things if I am expected to survive in the forsaken West Hall.
- Toothbrush (zomg oh noes I forgot to bring it the first time!)
- Towels
- Clothes hangers
- My super deluxe ultra portable folding gaming chair
- Small fridge
- Power strip
- … and maybe some other, unmentioned things better left… unmentioned
And by Monday’s evening, I should be roughly $1961 richer, thanks to scholarships and financial aid. $1000 will go towards paying back my mom for the PC, the rest will go to books and supplies, and a good $125 or so will go to getting a hot brand new spankin’ digital camera so I can start photoblogging/flckring it up!
