Well it turns out I’m back sooner than usual… and thank goodness too. College is just around the corner (August 21), and I have to prepare to drive down to Socorro tomorrow for registration. I’m finally going to college… in the middle of nowhere. BOO YAH!
During my little hiatus, I had to take care of some college paperwork and run a wad of errands. So, I could not really go online and blog during that time, but now that that has been done, I’m free to blog again. I managed to find some time to spare, so I killed it by finally finishing drafting up this theme.
I have dubbed this theme as Decipher, in the honor of amateur trance ballad artist Phantasma, who produces such amazing, soothing music. Decipher is one of his trance tracks that sounds hella awesome — in fact, it was the track that was playing most of the time as I was developing this theme.
Personally, I think this one is the best… lots of work, impressive royal color scheme in all-around greatness. However, at this point in time, it leaves quite much to be desired, especially in functionality.
It’s not done yet, and it’s merely in testing phase, so cool guys like Bas, Aaron/Allyn, Logan, and Bird can help me improve and make it better. Any bugs/quirks you find, or any suggestions you have… let me know.
I’ll be adding more to the theme as time passes by. The last rainender theme will be recoded and put up as a public WP theme download in the near future, if any of you guys were wanting that theme.
‘Til then, talk to you guys in a little bit! And it’s about time I make a category for New Mexico Tech, huh?

Great theme! It is not your best theme yet (sorry), but maybe it will be after you’ve made some changes.
First of all, the comment form… the letters are too big! All typography on the page is moderately small, except for the comment form. Why is that? I don’t find it comfortable typing a comment the size of an average h2.
By the way, the area I am typing in now could use a border… “type here” is just too subtle.
That said, I really like the top of the page. The colours are well balanced and there is some depth. The ‘home’, ‘about’, etc. labels could be slightly bigger, but maybe that’s just me.
There is something awkward about the last background gradient. I just don’t know exactly what it is, so maybe you should just leave it as it is.
I see you are still using the silk iconset. I know they’re awesome (I am using them as well), but their colourscheme doesn’t seem to fit your current theme. You can probably solve this by converting them to a red monochrome version.
That’s all for now. I am working on a new theme, too, so stay tuned.
PS: The ‘post this wizz’ button is very elegant.

I’ll see if I can find a slightly smaller size for the comment form. I tried achieving a web 2.0 effect here.
Type here, well, I’ll just leave it the way it is for now.
The navigation menu would look better bigger, but I don’t want it too fat. I’ll see if I can make more room for bigger/longer sizes.
I see nothing wrong with the last background gradient.
Maybe it’s too small.
The silk iconset can be adjusted to red if needed.
I’ll also be revising the footer a little bit in the future.
