I don’t rant much, but: this sucks.
I’ve got no money, my parents got no money. Well, usually they do whenever I want to travel somewhere. They’re always like “if you ever need to go somewhere, let us know and we’ll book you a ticket.” Then I realized hey, I should go to AnimeExpo this year, because I graduated from high school this year, and I got nothing better to do in the summer.
Much to my dismay, and of all circumstances, they just didn’t happen to have a quick $300 to burn to send me over to Long Beach this year. Dang, there’s never been a time where I wanted to go to California more than this very moment here. I want to go this year, because if I wait ’til next year, I’ll die from the impatience of waiting. And if I do happen to survive long enough for it to come, it won’t be the same, because it didn’t happen on the year that I graduated from high school. Plus there might be a chance that it may be held somewhere where I can’t go, like Hawaii or Japan or the Middle East or some crap like that (though that obviously can’t be the case).
I really want to go, but it looks like it won’t be happening for me this year. Instead, the $300 that could be spent on me going to CA was spent on my mother flying to San Jose this week for “business.” Even though she went just last month. Am I the only one who feels frequently screwed over by coincidence and circumstance? Bastages.
