After many months of waiting, family quarrels, and shopping around Albuquerque’s pathetic music venues, I have gone ahead and ordered a digital piano online, so that I can go pro at piano. 
And it’s all because Albuquerque was not cool enough to have one in stock (well actually, the Guitar Center had only one in stock, and it was the fubarred display one — hell no).
This’ll be my first piano, and a rather good one too: a Yamaha P70. It’s strange how I’m going for a pricey first piano, after all, for the most part pianos are pianos… but a good one helps. 
At $600 zip, it’s sleek, black, full-sized, and hella nice… and I can’t wait for it to arrive this Monday afternoon at my house so I can start playing away.
And the catch is that I have almost no formal training with piano or music in general (save for the basics like notes, scales, etc etc.); all I have are instinct and subpar music theory as developed from pulling off StepMania all-nighters.
So any tips on playing and developing my proficiency with this pseudo-stringed instrument are appreciated. I’ll be playing this thing almost 24/7.

Meh… it’s just a fad. You’ll grow tired of it after a few too many failures.
