SkillsUSA State 2007

School

So yeah… our school team went to New Mexico state SkillsUSA again. Yeah, same ol’ people, with some new ones in, and some old ones out… half the people didn’t go to their competitions; several of our guys got fubarred in a car collision; a few more walked out on their competitions; a few honest people did their best… my web partner and I went to our web design competition… yeah…

Dude, we’re badass.

Okay, now that I got that off of my head, I think just about every member of the West Mesa team got a medal… dang, we freaking own. And you know what’s better? This is the third year in a row that Matt and I win first place in the state web design competition because dude… we’re badass. We’re unbeatable, because we rape.

At the same time, it kinda sucks because it’s my last year for state, haha. I guess it’s post-secondary level next year for me. In the meantime, a few months more and it’ll be the national competition all over again.

And this time, we will get first place.

And a small little rant, we were going to spend the night at the conference hotel, but our advisors bailed out on their promises to us and cancelled it. What total bullshit.

Next time, don’t go about promising something that you can’t even fulfill. I mean, I even packed my clothes, toothbrush, Dreamcast (with Power Stone 2!), laptop, and a friggin’ IIDX controller and all of that. All for naught.
