That 24th Day

Geeky Things, Life

This is the last post of the Eventide… for a week.

Woot! SkillsUSA National Championships starts next week! That means I’ll be packing up tomorrow, and boarding the plane with 15 of my pals at the airport on Saturday. According to the tentative schedule on their website, we won’t have time to do anything in our free time. The schedule is filled with activities, work, competition, more activities, and more work. In fact, we won’t even be in our booked hotel rooms for long — ‘cept to pass out.

I like passing out, too!

So this is it, folks. This is my opportunity to gain some fame (really, fame! All the big companies will be over there, sponsoring the events). If you’ve been following up on my previous posts, then you probably already know that I have chosen to compete in the Web Design competition of the event. I won first place in the State competition this year, and now it’ll be time to test my mettle in the National competition.

I may not know what kind of opponents I’ll face, but I’ll see to it that I do my best, and that I compete to win. So, to everyone who reads, I wish for your good-lucks! Let’s see what I will walk home with that day on June 24th, and I’ll do my best to post during competition week if there’s a computer or WiFi available in the hotel. See ya around, folks.

To Ithilion: If you want to meet, you can find me in the Comfort Inn and Suites Downtown, 770 Admiral Blvd, 64106. I’m usually the dorky guy with the glasses in the red coat.
