Hmm, yeah, 2 days in California is definitely not enough — even if you’ve lived there all your life and was just coming back to check up on things. But yeah, this time I went with my brother, mom, and a friend (exchange student from Hong Kong) who was dying to go to CA. For the most part, we went there so we could take her to go see a different part of America away from the place where she was staying. So I, acting as the tour guide, pretty much held her hand (metaphorically speaking, don’t get any ideas, newbs!) throughout California and went from place to place. Like usual, we stayed at my bro’s place in the backhouse (ha ha, yeah that’s where he lives).
Because we didn’t get enough time, I didn’t get a chance to visit old friends and new friends alike. I was planning on going to Alan’s to hang out and pizzown him at StepMania again, but we didn’t have time. I wouldn’t have been able to go either because I would have to ditch her and that would be jacked up. So, for Sunday and Monday, my brother, her, and I went to the Disneyland Resort. I’ve been to Disneyland many times (lived next door to it, ya know — back in the day, climbing over the wall was a cinch), but this time it was really different, and felt great. They weren’t kidding when they say Disneyland’s the happiest place on Earth — because it freaking is. Making use of our limited time, we spent Sunday at California Adventure and Monday at Disneyland itself (both days were bloody crowded, it was like a mob and a half), and I gotta say, the roller coasters are cake, even California Screamin’ wasn’t scary as most of the kiddies say it is — it is fun as hell. The starting launch is creative too — 0 to 60 in a few seconds up a ramp… who the hell needs a rail lift when you can just freaking blast off the launchpad. Jeez.
Also, I took a crapload of pictures and videos on my brother’s digital camera and my phone. I’ll post a gallery of the pictures I took at Disneyland with my phone sometime later during the week. Anyway, I’m out for now, later.
