Now to add a dosage of sense into this post — I’m playing StepMania on index now! So whoop-dee-doo, what’s so great about this? Well, four fingers, little did I know, makes it all too easy since you have four fingers on four arrows, so you can just basically camp your arrow keys and wait for the arrow to come, then go BAM and catch it with a Marvelous or Perfect timing. Two index fingers on four arrows, on the other hand… can you say it’s like actual DDR, except for your fingers? Man, it felt all weird at first when I gave it a try, then I started playing it more often and more often… and more often some more.

… and more often until one cloudy, feigned-rainy day (which is actually today, in context), I was like “Aight I’m going to fully switch to INDEX now!” Wow, that’s HARDCORE! That’s how you play SM like a Nazi. With two fingers on four arrows, you need to do more than camping, gonna need to actually move them index fingers right and left, up and down. Now I’m not saying playing four fingers is bad, because there are a lot of great four-fingered players out there, but now I want to see what it’s like to index, and who the fizz knows — I might switch back if I don’t like it.
